i tried hooking it up inside the cab. Worked for the most part but when I lost signal it would be for long periods of time usually during an extremely funny Howard bit, so I bit the bullet and bought the mushroom looking antenna and mounted by the passenger side mirror. Haven't lost signal for more than a second or two and very rarely

Mine works better like this. When I had it mounted on the roof, I would constantly lose signal. Since I moved it in here, no problems. I have a T700, where there is really no good place to mount an antenna anyway. And Bababooey to you all!

Personally, I haven't paid full price in years. When my subscription expires I call and offer to pay $100 for another 12 months up front. So far it's worked for the last 4 years. It's actually $107 and change after tax.

My Garmin GPS has XM built in, only 1 ive ever seen like that(Streetpilot 7200). It has a weather map, traffic, and live stock quotes..The GPS is not truck specific so its used as a tool like its meant. Ive had XM for almost 8 yrs now, couldnt live without it. I also own about 50k shares in the company so sign your butt up and contribute to my nest egg :p

Xm built in the GPS, don't you have to pay the monthly fee for XM or are you set for life? Are you talking about Garmin stocks? I figured they were falling considering people use GPS on their phones now.

I'm guessing he's talking Sirus-XM as 50k shares there would be 160k or so. If he has 50k shares with Garmin he's worth over about 3 million right now and I'm not sure what he's doing on here or in a truck LOL.

Yes I still have to pay for the service and the extras. Best of Sirius for football, traffic and weather are extra. My shares are in SIRI, got in back around 2008-2009 when it was dirt cheap. Riding that wave!
