This is what I have onboard:
-Audible, hundreds of books downloaded for offline use
-Spotify, massive 3k+ Track Library downloaded for offline use (Contains Music and Standup Comedy)
-Sirius (my company pays for it)
-10TB worth of TV, Movies, Music Videos, and Video games on a NFC hard drive array, downloaded for offline use.
I have a 10gb data plan, but I stay comfortably within it as I only use it for browsing and route planning.
I have a good internet connection at home, so I download all my music/books/movies/tv shows there. There are a million ways to stream the data you have saved on the external devices through your speakers in the truck. It's just a matter of planning.
aside from satellite radio, what's the next best thing?

I have a 250gb iPod that is almost full, I can go over a week at a time without hearing the same song twice. I was on a grandfathered Verizon unlimited data plan before and listened to either spotify or pandora constantly. Spotify was nice because you can build your own playlist, I'm in a band so I would load up our playlist for the coming weekend and listen to it all the way through a dozen times. By the end even if it was a song I really didn't know I would know it just from listening to it so much. Pandora is nice for a little more random variety but it's not much different than regular radio, after a while of thumbs up and thumbs down all the stations play the same songs.

I've had XM radio for over seven years. What I enjoy most is since I listen to many different kinds of music, it always has whatever I'm in the mood for. My next best thing is my Seventh generation 160 GB ipod. I've got nearly 8000 tracks and still have room for about 14000 more

is HD radio ad free or it's pretty much the same as you'd hear on the FM/AM channels but HD version (aka better sound quality)?
