Aside from wooden snow fences, why doesn’t WY build snow barriers right next to I-80?

Yeah, I was going to say that they should install wind turbines all over the state to take advantage of the high winds. The state currently has some wind turbines, but not even close to what other states have.

About the snow barriers right next to the highway, well, this would only be useful when there isn’t a winter storm hitting I-80. I have learned that when it snows excessively, it’s usually because of a snow storm passing through. Usually when it snows, and there isn’t a winter storm, the snowfall is low.

Keep in mind Wyoming has oil. Wind will be something that will procreate as the money is spent over time.

You can only send electricity so far down the wires before it becomes hugely inefficient, and you may have noticed there's not that many people in Wyoming.

It’s time to throw in some high-power-use factories in WY!

95 used to be tolled. They yanked them out due to congestion but with today's technology booths are no longer needed.

80 is such a heavy thru truck route, they get severe weather EVERY year, you’d think they’d invest more in snow and ice control. I get no one wants to spend money, but WY is pretty important for moving products to many points on the West coast. Maybe they’d get involved with some kind of regional investment deal to keep 80 clear.
