Looks as if I may be starting with May 1st wk in Dec at Gary terminal. I hear or see posts that driving / training with a trainer can be anywhere from 1 week to 4 weeks. Just depends on how an individual progresses? Is this correct?
When you get assigned your own truck .... not sure what to expect so ....
1. Are they usually pretty clean inside or do they give a person time to clean them? What about time to set the inside up?
2. What do they usually come equipped with on the inside (e.g., Frig Micro or anything like that) Or are they pretty much bare on the inside?
3. If you want an inverter (who wouldn't) the shop has to install them I understand. Where's a good place to pick up this that the "shop" will approve?
Since I'm going to be basically living in that space, I like it to be as clean and comfortable as possible and to make the job less stressful. So I'm just trying to get some insight on what to expect.

they usually have the trucks cleaned out before issued to you... usually
they are bare inside, you dont have to go IMMEDIATELY on the road once you solo out so when you get your truck you can take a day or so off if you want
you can get an inverter from the shop itself, depending on where you go to do it they might only allow you to use theirs, but its been a while so might have to ask them but I've never gone out looking for them on my own besides just seeing them at the truck stops -
You have to use "theirs", which means that it is a specific make and model. However, it's a really good deal (in my humble opinion), as they install it correctly (and really well) and then deduct the cost of it from your pay @ $25/week for nine weeks.
And yes, the truck has been nicely detailed (ie: cleaned) prior to you getting it. -

If you recover a truck from somewhere it may not be clean but as soon as you are back in a shop they detail it for you. The inverter is a very good one and the price the company charges you is a very good one for the size. My friend asked for a new mattress and when they detailed his truck they put a new one in no charge.

May installs the E2000 for $225 @ $25/wk. If I recall correctly. Almost half price. Yes, you do get to keep it if/when you move on.

Got a new mattress w/my 2nd truck. 0 miles on mattress, 480k or so on truck. Ran well enough. New tires.

Any1 put a TV / Satellite on their truck? Is it allowed?
XM Radio?
Does the Qualcomm system with May have GPS? -
Did you ask any of these questions to the recruiter?
I knew guys that had satellite installed on their company trucks. I had a factory built-in radio with SIRIUS/XM on all the trucks I drove there. Of course, you have to pay for the subscription.
No, May was too cheap to turn on the GPS side of the Qualcomm -
