yea when the job you worked at the last 7 yrs gets shut down cause of cheap steel being shipped in from over seas putting everyone out of work

 

So in your mind that gives you the right to take someone else s money to pay for you to learn another career? Sounds about right in this day in time.

 

It is an unfortunate fact that people are no longer willing to put anything into an education. When you have nothing invested its easy to walk away and put nothing into it. You have already shown that...ohhh nobody called me...oh well I'll just walk now...why? Because it means nothing to you. I have fought for my place in this school and I haven't given up and I have a bad past so it could still be pulled out from under me but I'm still going to fight for it and if I mske it all the way I'm going to fight to be the best driver I can. But you? No effort, nothing to lose if you walk...

 

Its called the trade adjustment act where if you loose your job due to overseas trade the government sends you back to school to learn a new career , I've worked all my life have never been on unemployment till now and have never collected welfare I always have worked and if the government is going to pay for me to get retrained after they let that cheep steel in the U.S.A your #### straight they can pay for it!

 

Well guess thats how you see it. I lost my job too. Owned my own business and trying to keep it open sent me to the edge of bankruptcy. I could blame that on the government because the economy killed my business and I could ask for a free ride...but instead I downsized...sold off my stuff picked the company I wanted and fought to get in. Now I'm selling my trailer to cover my expenses. It seems you and I just see things different. Thats cool with me...but consider that you only get out of something...what you are willing to put into it.

 

I just put an application in Wednesday and they sent me an email saying it takes 1-2 days to process, should I call tomorrow?

 

That are usually pretty fast at getting back to u. It was 2 days for me. if nothing after 2 days I would call.

 

Do they usually call or email?

 

If I remember correctly I got both.

 

I called and they said West Virginia is not in their hiring area.
