I have had no personal experience with them.
Although they are branded Tata (Indian) they are actually Daewoo (Korea) in origins.
We have had them here in 6x4 guise for a number of years.
At first they had a generic Mercedes OM442oa engine with a 16sp ZF.
For about a year now I see they have been fitted with a ISX Cummins and an Ultrashift.
Not sure on the 340ps as I have not seen them.
Only real complaint I heard was that the diff was not up to standard.
Only heard this once so not sure. -
Could you please tell me about the fuel consumption of 6x4 model ?
and by the way, you mentioned "the diff" I really don't get it, please explain in detail to me. Thanks -
Where Im from we typically run at between between 88 000lbs/40 000kgs and 123 500lbs/56000kgs on 6 or 7 axles.
Fuel consumption 40l (2,5km/l) to 55l(1,8km/l) per 100km on the 6x4 OM442 powered units.
This is 6m per US gallon to 4,25 m per US gallon or 7 to 5 miles per imperial gallon.
The 340ps is available here on 6x4 rigid/straight trucks.
The peole running these say they are very reliable.
Regarding the diff I believe the crown wheel and pinion wear out prematurely.
I only heard of this once but never saw it. -
do you know about the Trago tractor head? -
Never heard of a Trago.
