Im sitting at home right now..... Swifty can get all the speeding tickets they want. Im not trying for a land speed record. I drive too safe for Swifty apparently, cause Im going only as fast as its safe to do so.

I never heard of a Swift truck getting a speeding ticket. Maybe if he was in a residential zone or something. I'm talking about the COMPANY named "Swift". Not the adjective. Swift trucks go < 64 mph.

So, you think it's dangerous to drive 65 mph? Unless there's snow or ice or something, that's just freakin' ridiculous. You're the second Prime driver to imply it's dangerous to drive 65 mph.

I'm starting to develp a theory now, ... but to be fair I'll wait til I talk to a few more Prime drivers before I start throwing around accusations of brainwashing or "special" Kool-Aid at the terminals. I got a question though. When you guys see a KFC or a Popeye's Chicken, do you ever get just a little bit nervous?

I can go 62.... 3mph is not going to make a huge difference. If you hate Prime so much, why you hanging out in the Prime area? I love the company. Great training, great equipment....

I know your company trucks are governed at 62 or 63 or so. I came here to ask about the guys who PURPOSELY drive below their governor speed, like 50-55 mph out on the open road, no traffic, good weather, etc. I can say it's been interesting, getting yours and ironpony's perspective on this, actually.

O no.... Only time I drive below the speed limit on purpose is if its not safe to go the speed limit. On open clear dry roads... my foots to the floor, or the cruise is set. Im not going slower than I have to

What's all this about Tyson loading trailers late? Last few times I've been to a Tyson/IBP plant the trailers have been ready 12-24 hours ahead of their DDT's.

And yes I drive slow, and no, I don't really care if you don't like it. I'll keep my $2000+ weekly settlements.

$2k/wk for an O/O ain't ####. Ours make that much in 3 days. And 99% of the time, I DON'T care how fast Prime trucks go because they're not THAT much slower. I'm only talking about the guys who idle along at 55 mph causing a dangerous situation on a road with a 70 mph speed limit.

About 50% of the time when I get to a Tyson/IBP plant, it ain't loaded til the last minute, or it's late. Occasionally one will be loaded 12-24 hrs early, but that's rare. Drivers from my company have been (jokingly) trying to convince our company to rent a house in Storm Lake, IA so we can go hang out, shower, watch TV, sleep, etc. because it seems 90% of the time we go there, we're waiting at least 8 hours.:biggrin_25513:

About as many as OOIDA has lost. Think they'd learn after losing over half a million to pay for Prime's attorney fees.

"Court Orders OOIDA to Pay $559,718 to Prime, Inc. for Attorney Fees

    January 25, 2004
The United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri Southern Division court last week awarded PRIME INC. $559,718 for attorney's fees. This money refunds PRIME INC. a part of the total cost they incurred while defending itself against the OODIA suit."
