Just make sure you get out of the truck and do it. That's supposed to be part of the instructional curriculum as I understand it - a daily pretrip - and it is implied in the regulations that it is required.

they other day I saw a post in a thread about a floral dept in Florida. I can't remember the city. I can only guess this is a team run due to time but I wanted to see where it was again. I know where tropicana is ans us cold storage in orlando just looking for other places we might go to in FL.

I think it was an older thread with ip and u2 teasing about a terminal that got taken out by a driver (denver naybe?) I think it was near ip's house

If I get this wrong someone please correct me

this is the basics I will let someone else go over split schedule

after 10 hours of continuous offduty time the moment you go on duty you have 14 hours to complete your days onduty activities that is on duty driveing and not driving. during that time you may only drive 11 hours .

So the most you can work in a day is 14 hours and the most of that tha can be driving time is 11. then you must do 10 ours offduty

This brings us to the 34 hour and the 70 hour.

you can have 70 hours of onduty time every 8 days so if you are on duty 10 hours a day for 7 days you cannot do anything the 8th day. On the 9th day the first days hours come back. if you take 34 hours offduty the 8 day resets and you start over.

is saw a post by a user logsrus i think was their name that had a power point that helped me

Like I said I am a rookie but answered to make sure I could articulate what I thought I understood. If mistaken please correct:biggrin_255:

Almost... the 14 hour window limits the use of your 11 hours of driving on line 3. You can work on line 4 - off duty, not driving - as much as you want under the current edition of the HOS rules. You will have to complete a 10-hour break after that.

That's pretty close... there's also a split sleeper berth rule, but thats a bit complex and confusing.
