sorry, wouldnt be fair to you... Wedding in VA/NC late Aug and then going to Germany for two weeks at the end of September... plus Im not a fan of training in winter months.
Even if I got you home for each of those, it would be too much sitting around plus run the risk of me being late getting where I need to be ...
and if you decided to stay on the truck, you would be miserable where I park it...

I finished my trainer's truck today and he called his FM to ask about a new trainee and FM told him there's a waiting list for new trainee's... So he's looking at not getting a new trainee for awhile. 'course don't know how accurate that is his FM is a little flaky, glad they are company and I'm going lease. Wouldn't recommend my trainer was ok for B1 cycle, but I'm a returning driver. Know of the two guys I kept track of from orientation one dropped after going thru two trainers and a conflict with recruiter, me doing upgrade Monday, and the other is on second trainer. Keep your communications going with your Fleet Manager, don't let your trainer be your only point of contact.

I'm waiting to talk to my recruiter on Monday. What can I expect for them to determine if I am eligible to be scheduled for training? I have been running a detail business since late 2008 and its a part time thing I am not a registered business since i don't work very often especially this year. I have a reference of a customer that I have had since on 2009. Should I have any problems?

Hard to say... I was in the same position a few years back, but I had filed a schedule C the year before showing business expenses and they still wanted customer testimonials. You need to talk to your recruiter about the situation - you'll probably have to camp out on hold, but I'd do that rather than leave voice mails.
The feds require that motor carriers do a thorough background investigation, including employment for 3 years back if you haven't (but 10 years if you have) worked as a commercial driver. One thing you might want to consider (after talking to a recruiter) is maybe getting a part-time minimum wage job for awhile if you need to - just to show some employment. -
Well I have list of people that they can call to verify I have been working. My father in-law has been trucking for 35 years. I have tried so hard just to get any employment and its been such a struggle, it hard when you go against 30 or more people for one spot.
I have plenty of people they can talk to and I will do anything for them to give me a shot at this. -
