Another question that I just thought of and this is just out of curiosity...

    Does Prime hire O/O's?

If I _do_ get to come to Prime, and someday down the road I decide I'd like to own my own truck, I wonder if they will contract me?

    Thanks :)

    ORD... yeah, my plans :)

Haircuts... some of the truckstops have barbershops in them. We're usually talking Petros or TA's. Like... you could go to a real barbershop while you're on the road ya know!

O/Os... yup there is a logistics side. In order to lease-on the truck must either be a unit you bought from Prime at the end of a lease. Otherwise it must be no more than 2 years old; that is since this is 2011, it must be a model-year 2009 or newer.

    I'm cheap :) DIY is free :)

So price-wise it would be better to lease from them and buy it at the end of the lease ?

Thanks for the info IP... have a great week(end) :)

Was that by choice or was that the earliest option?

I've been pulling teeth all week trying to get employment verified for an employer that is now out of business. Long story short, I should be ready to get an orientation date by Monday. All I want to do is get to SpringMo. I have no idea what I'll do with myself for the whole month of August if I have to wait until 9/6.

Depends on the supply of used trucks on the market... I've heard its tightening up real fast right now as the economy expands. A two-year old truck is mighty pricey from what I've seen, anytime.

Buying a truck that you leased does have the advantage that you know that truck well, before you sink any money into it.

It was my choice. Getting my ducks in row before i leave. You can get your complete work history from the social security administration. heres a link. http://ssa-custhelp.ssa.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/72 It will take a few weeks to get it though. Also try the IRS they will have all the tax Records. The local court house will have records of businesses that were in operation in the past....

I have that all straightened out. Just glad to hear 09/06 wasn't the earliest choice.
