Thanks! Only plan to go the company route - - much pressure from Prime to lease?

If you're thinking about home time, the drill is you ask for it, they set up a load home... you deliver, drop the trailer where specified, and bobtail home. Going back out is the reverse.

Zero. In three years on the company side, I never heard one word about it except at orientation... they said they had a lease program, and moved onto the next subject.

FM said some things a few weeks ago in a fleet msg... Sounded like anything but an endorsement. Mainly it seemed to be in response to his drivers questioning him on whether they should go lease... or if he thought they would be successful going L/O

Basically he gave his thoughts on the economy, the business, the responsibilities.

In the end, I got the impression that he didnt think it was a good time to lease.

So much for the pressure pitch:biggrin_2559:

Ya know I saw a pattern this week. The guys who whine are the same guys that sit at the TS. It happened a lot this week. We would get to a TS to fuel. Prime Driver would be clogging the island only to be found inside whining. One time I asked the guy where he was headed. Same 90 as us. 7 hours away. His appointment time was the same as ours. We got there an hour early. He shows up 3 hours later about 15 minutes before the end of the window. We get another load deliver and next day run into him again at a shipper. He is like you all get hung up at the 90 too? NO we were in and out and made a run on the way here (it had to go team as it was HIVAL). He was like WTF. I could not get a load until this one. HE was leaving as we entered. We were supposed to be drop and hook but they had to wait on a trailer. about an hour passed. We went around the corner to the hook for reefer fuel as the reefer was only half full. Guess who was blocking the pumps again complaining. Guess who dropped the trailer with a half a tank of reefer fuel? Guess who burned up his 14 and now only had 30 minutes to spare to get to his 90? Guess who was still inside when we left?

It wasn't just this guy we ran into three or four of them. All had "bad FMs" Really cause they had the same FMs that some of the othr guys we ran into had. These guys were like us and were in and out of the TS. They all mentioned how great the FMs were.

I know there are some bad FMs but is it always them or could it be drivers that forget they are supposed to drive?

Wow. I just spent the last 4 days reading this complete thread. i saw several times where you say you aren't paid for about 4 wks. This is where you can draw the $200 correct.
What is a fair guess on the amount of cash you will need stashed away for other bills while not earning any money.
I am very interested in putting in my app with Prime. I have been searching and browsing for the last 18 months.
I like the fact I can get training here and stay for a year and be free and clear. Just not sure I can go 4 wks without some income.
I have really appreciated all the input and knowledge each of you have given in the thread. I would be honored to meet each of you if I am able to take this to the next level.
Thanks again for all the info here and elsewhere and sorry to make this a way toooo long post.
