I am interested in prime, i would like to know, would i be disqualified for having a misdemeanor larceny charge in april 1988? i pulled price tag off a pair of tennis shoes for a person i was with in a department store. the court fined us and let us go. also i have a misdemeanor possession of marijuana in april 2000. had to do community service and pay fine, the judge dismissed the case.

 

Go talk to the shop about it. There was a change from 62/65 to 65/65 a few months ago. Unless they changed it back.

 

You should be fine. Best bet, call a recruiter and tell them everything. Giving that it was nearly 12 years ago and providing your record is clean since then, you should be ok.

People mess up, the company understands this.

Four years ago, Prime didn't have a problem with my misd. larceny from 1987. I cannot speak for the drug conviction, but a recruiter will let you know fairly quickly.

To all prime drivers, i have my cdl. Would prime let me join the school with my cdl? If not would they accept a refresher course from any truck school? My recent driving exp. is 2yrs. old and that was less than 3 months with the last company i was with. also when i left that company in dec.2008, i could not find a job until jul.2009. What will i need to do to fix it so prime will hire me? thanks for your answers.

 

I think you'd have to go through the entire training program again. Your biggest hurdle is explaining the spotty job history - why you left the first driving job, why the long period before your next employment, etc. You have been working continuously since then, yes?

 

The prime recruiter I talked with last week told me that they will not consider anyone with more than 3 months of unemployment within the last 3 years. Fairly rigid. Your best bet is to list any temp / cash paying jobs that you held during that period so you don't have more than 3 months of unemployment - and document those on your tax return.
