U2Exit, another question it was said in an earlier post that if you already have a cdl which i do, that you should have no more than a 6 month gap in employment the last 3yrs. Is that true? if it is i have a 7 month gap in 10yr. work history from dec.2008 to jun.2009 no jobs at all. would prime give me a break on that? I know i will have to surrender my cdl to dmv and get the permit to go to prime school.

I have not measured. But the FL I am on has a twin on the bottom and the top is a littlle narrower. I am 6 foot even I keep my gear at my feet (there is other room but It works for me there) and plenty of room. Like 18 inches or so. Hope that helps

    BigDaddyDanny Thanks this.

:biggrin_2556: Hi, ok what does cwc , post said about giving up your cdl too go too there school and start over fresh, dont think so, a cdl is good for any state in the usa, why would you have too give that up too go for prime, they take the info off it for there record's, i have no gaps in my work history last 5 years so i should be good too go, i think, :biggrin_2556:

We need a sticky outlining the program..... I'd write one up if I had the time. Maybe when I get back into SPRINGMO

If you do not have up to date otr or regional experience not local, you will start at prime at the school. Which means you will have to surrender your cdl, then get a cdl permit in your state at dmv. I do not like this either, but that's the way it is. Then you go thru training to your final test, if you pass you will get a missouri cdl, then you go back to your state dmv to convert it back.

Well this first i heard about this , my dmv is right across the street from me, and i had several jobs in differnt state and never once did i give yp my cdl or go back too school, i went school back in 90 in mo, never got a mo cdl, grad at the 3rd in class at granit city , mo and i came home , presented my paperwork too her and got a iowa cdl, so i guess prime is out then, i just got off the road 5 years ago , so i still know what i'm doing behind the wheel , becuse i take local jobs up too 150 miles one way,so i'll go over and ask the dot then, :biggrin_25524:

U2Exit, if you are out there, can you answer my question on post#1523. Whenever you have time to, i would really be thankful.

I don't know the particulars of work gaps etc. A recruiter would have that info.
