Just be honest and tell your recruiter. They have dealed with this before I'm sure. Your problem would be no tax records. Though. Since you are a reservist. You could have them take the tow truck job off completely and just put the part time military down instead. This would cover as employment.

Old Fashion!!!! What does being old fashion have to do with thinking being paid under the table is commiting fraud.
We as citizens in this God forsaken country have been undersiege for quite some time now. And unfortunately we have to do what we must to survive.
If that means that I have to pay one of my employees cash so he can make his rent payment or buy groceries or oil for heat then so be it.
I currently employ 4 people on my farm and if anyone of them came to me and asked for help in the form of paying them cash so they could feed their kids or get threw a tough time. I would do this without a second thought. Then I guess in your eyes I'm a fraudulant #######. But I won't lose any sleep over it.
Now about your post on the oath we as veterans took.
I think you gave up your rights to post that, once you called all of are politicans FRAUDS.
Now please GSWx don't take this as a personal attack. Just think, before you post something like that.
Have you never worked for someone for cash. IE... shoveling snow, Raking leaves, Cleaning their basement, selling scrap, hauling wood, mowing lawns. these are just a few examples.

    GSWx Thanks this.

Can we please keep this forum on topic, which is questions about Prime Inc, not political views? Please use the PM for any ranting and raving about a post. Those of us who really seek information would appreciate it. Thank you.

    GSWx Thanks this.

I would like some input here if anyone knows the answer. I have posted this earlier and would really like to know if anyone has an answer. My G/F drives otr and has been driving for over 26 years. I currently have a CDL learners permit and was going to go ahead and take my CDL driving test pretty soon before it expires the first time. I have not gone to school. I was told that if I came to Prime within 45 days of passing the test and if she came over to Prime, that she and I could go through orientation together and that she could then act as my trainer without having to be at Prime for 90 days before going to the trainer class. We have plans to team drive together. Is this info that I was given correct?

Is it best to go to Prime's CDL School or United truck Driving School

    I'm 20 Years old turn 21 in 90 Days or so;
I have no intention of paying for school.

I've done plenty of research on the forum, and wanted to get few comments from people who have "Been There, Done That"

I have no ties, so I'd be glad to be on the road for 2 months at a time or more.
but The only thing that kind of bugs me is the whole "If your home more than a limited amount of time, you'll get a different truck" policy.

    I'm in Riverside, CA

That is why I've looked at other companies such as W/S, Roehl, May Trucking, KLLM, Schnieder, last but not least Werner.

I just "been there done that" with the PSD program. It's far better training than your going to get from an outside school. In the PSD program you get hands on training in the real world. Also, its one on one instruction. You learn not just the job, but the lifestyle we live. There are many posts on the details of the program so I won't mention those.
As far as the policy on staying home too long. They give you two weeks before you have to turn in your truck, under that its still your assigned truck. We dont slip seat here.

    That's Great to hear!

My uncle drove from Prime that is why I know it's a good company, and I thought it was shorter than 2 weeks, (I'm fine with 2 weeks then)

Obvious Question Asked a Million times but i'll ask a million and one time,
I wish someone would create a Form like AT did here but for Prime.

You don't "get paid" until you get your CDL. However, Prime will advance you $200 a week during the PSD portion so you can live. It's an interest free loan you pay back when your hired at $25 a week. Once your hired you get a guarantee of $600 a week minimum. If you run over 5000 miles in a week, its paid at 12cpm.

Your milage may vary on this one but here is some input. I met a driver at a shipper a week ago. He is on the same board as me. He came to prime with cdl and girlfriend go her's while he was out with trainer. Plan was for him to get the time in to be able to become a trainer then train her. When he was done with TNT they let him take his trainer class same week then they let her on his truck as b seat. so it is possible to do as you posted but not sure the hoops you would have to go through
