Thanks for the input Gator. I put in my app with Prime today. I am hoping things will work out the way the recruiter said. If not then we will deal with it. As it is we don't see each other much anyway. If you get down this way give me a Holler. We can run out to the Hollow.

ORD why did you make the switch from reefer to flat bed? Are the miles better? Also do that have flat bed trainers that you can start out with or does everyone start out with reefer then switch if they want to?

I planned on goin flatbed from the start, but it just worked out that I was with reefer guys. I wanted the physical work we do, albeit not much. We don't get the miles reefer does. We also don't do late night drops. Flatbed keeps banker hours for the most part, from 0700-1600. That's when we pickup/drop normally. There are several places we can pickup at any time though. We don't get the miles, but we get more per mile. Reefer starts at 34cpm, we start at 36cpm. We also get extra for tarping. So far I like it a lot better than reefer. More interesting loads in a variety of places.
We do have instructors and trainers, but not as many as reefer. Were short on drivers. We actually have more freight than we can deliver cause most people don't want to do the work. It's not as hard as outsiders make it out to be.

Thanks for the information I really appreciate it very much. I am schedued for the 24th, when do you request to go flatbed? Or do they even ask you about it. I think the flatbed sounds interesting. Once again thanks for the info.
