Read the fine print. Its like 10gb Max then they kill your speed. Verizon I pay 55/month for wifi that can connect up to 5 devices. 5gb limit and I rarely go over it. Just don't us e anything that watches movies. Eats room up real quick.
Btw. Milleicom run off Verizon's towers.

I didn't have any problems like that when I was there, unless you count roommates....

I have been looking at millenicom broadband wireless myself, what I have found it is a basicly a Sprint 3G reseller, it uses Sprint network and towers... Verizon and Sprint are pretty much the best for Mifi and are both pretty equal in coverage...
better on the east coast then the West, just look at the cell maps, if you dont see service for the phone, you wont have it for the Mifi... I am also looking more into the BYOD package, you can by there device, but it is just a USB stick good only for that device, where-as if you bought a MiFi 2200 Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot you can now hookup 5 devices, and I can already see myself needing 3 for the laptop, kindle, and tab and who knows what else, but I have been seeing the Sprint 2200 on ebay for cheap, and $50 will get you a new one.. so altho I am still investigating, so far Millenicom W/ Mifi 2200 is the route I belive I am going to take..cwc Thanks this. -
I have been investigating the Millenicom Wireless setup myself, and what I have found is that they are actually using the Sprint network.
Verizon and Sprint are pretty much the same in this, they are both good, when it comes to 3G they pretty much have the same coverage, speeds and quality, both are rated equally also..coverage is best on east side of the US then it is on the west, if you really want to see the coverage, just look at the cell map, if there is no cell coverage, there will be no Mifi either.. 4g is a different story, and also NOT part of the unlimited plan.. also in my investigation I have discoverd it is smarter to go with the BYOD because, with the regular you get a USB thumbdrive type device that will work with your PC/Laptop, However if you go with BYOD you are able to use a Sprint Mifi 2200, which alows you to connect 5 devices to it.. for me that is a no brainer, I can already hook 3 into it (laptop/kindle/tab) and who knows what is comming down the pike that would need internet access so I belive this is the smartest route, and they can be had very cheaply...ebay has them for $50...
so, while I am still in my investigative stage, so far the Millenicom/Mifi 2200 setup is the front runner and the most likly winner...cwc Thanks this. -
Guys... the deal is network coverage. You may want to use mobile internet for TV, movies, n' fun n' games, but the real deal is it helps keep you alive. Internet mapping resources so you KNOW what you are getting you and your rig into before you drive it into a trap. Live weather radar... that'll keep you out of the worst of it this winter. If you're leasing, you can get a better fuel solution by using the fuel pricing page on the company website.
Verizon has the best network coverage of the bunch - especially out in the boonies. AT&T is patchy out west, and Sprint isn't so good outside of major cities.cwc Thanks this. -
FYI, the FAA gives me a Verizon cell phone and a Sprint Aircard for my laptop and VPN. I've had dropped calls on my cell phone in many states and the aircard connectivity is spotty at best here and elsewhere, even near the large cities.

There is a TTR forum on this service called "Millenicom Wireless a review and test" here. I just posted a copy of what's on Millenicom's homepage.

I have Verizon. All the posts from the last 30 days have been sent from my phone. Sometimes I lose service, but rarely.
