If nashville thought i was talking about 80k in the box, no i know you cannot put 80k in a trailer when the whole truck with load and fuel in both tanks have to be at 80k or less. I use to be a reefer driver and hoping to be one again at prime if they will have me.

CWC,
First off I really should not have been answering your question as I'm not a Prime employee and I should have noted you knew what you were talking about, because of that fact that you went into detail about the the bridge laws. Sorry about that. Sometimes I need to re-read things before commenting. -
That's okay nashville everyone has a right to speak on here, i was just letting you know that i knew you cannot put 80k in the trailer. And it is not about bridge laws it is about how much weight you can put in a trailer and truck combo to equal up to the 80k limit. Scale houses(weigh stations) do not want you to exeed that limit.

Nashville i think you might be confused as to what bridge laws mean. Correct me if i am wrong prime drivers. Bridge laws are weight limits on bridges you cannot cross in small towns and maybe some big towns that you drive thru. For instance if you are in a town and u turn on a street that leads to a bridge that your delivery is on and is 20tons limit and you are 40 tons, you can not cross that bridge and if you do and a police sees you, you will get a hefty fine.
