Prime installed a 1500W inverter into my husband's truck. I'm reasonably sure that he didn't have to buy it, but I could be wrong.

ETA: No, he did not pay for his.

    Remedy Thanks this.

Prime installs 1500W inverters in all company trucks at no cost to the driver. As for the FM being good or not, you'll know. They are not all created alike. And what is good for one driver may not be for another. So, it depends on what you are looking for, or what your goals are, as to whether or not your FM is what you would consider good. If your goals are being met, you're in good shape. If not, get a new FM.

After a long search over the past few weeks I'm pretty much settled on Prime as my trucking company of choice. Now on to my situation. I got my CDL A back in 2004 but never did anything with it so I know I'll have to do the entire training program and I'm ok with that. For the best anyway I wouldn't trust myself behind the wheel a this point anyway. I have 1 speeding ticket back in 2007 in a non commercial vehicle and had my license suspended for not paying a tail light out fine a few years ago....the story behind that is the stuff of legends at this point. I want to burn the Massachusetts DMV to the ground. No at fault accidents at all. Easily pass a drug test and DOT physical...well BP was a little high at 130 but still under the limit. I do have a current medical card but will probably go get it again just to make sure everything is ok type deal. The only issue I can see is the fact I was laid off from my job of 6 years back in April 2011. Not finding any work I moved from Massachusetts to Arizona and got a job in February of this year. Is Prime going to have an issue with that? I know I need to call a recruiter but I just wanted to ask the good folk here their opinions. As another poster said in this thread I have a good stable job now but I HATE sitting behind a desk. Living in Phoenix I went to Swift first but was completely unimpressed with their recruiters. Knight also has a training facility in Phoenix but I just didn't get a good vibe when I spoke to their recruiters as well.

When you start at orientation, you will go through another complete physical and be re-issued a new med card. As far as the work history, DO NOT skip time periods. Include everything, weather its time employed at a place, time inbetween jobs, or unemployed time. They are checking for accountability, not really job history.

Thanks for the reply, but make a note in your truckstop book, that truckstop is closed and is growing the best weeds around.
