Hey Ironpony, what was the rule for flyers? I seem to remember it as they had to be "alcohol free" for 24 hrs. That basically meant no booze 34 hrs prior to flight. Of course the Corps always was extreme!

Something like that. FAA was 8 hours when I got my private pilot's license. Don't know what it is now though. My rule was 24 hours.

Hey IP, I'm a pilot myself. You still fly much? I don't get up as much as I'd like, but fly a Piper Archer III with glass ####pit when I get home every now and then. Very nice aircraft. Maybe one of these days we can meet up for a $100 burger.

Not in quite awhile. Mostly 'lil bug-squashers myself.

Is the lease program with prime as good as the company says it is?
-

It is a business opportunity - and it economically benefits any company to transfer its costs to a contractor under a lease program. If one treats this like employment with a company, you will fail. -
ok so here is my other question, if so many people have had problems with leasing programs like what prime is offering, why is it that these companies like prime still have a A+ rating with the BBB. leasing is a business, a service the company offers. Why then are they not taking advantage of this service that has federal backing and can investigate these alligations of bad business practices? Check the BBB file on prime they have an A+ rating, they had 1 complaint against them and that was not even related to the companies business practice it was in regards to a driver pulling one of primes trailers got ignorant and threw something out the window at a car and it broke the windshield and the car owner wanted prime to take responsibility for the repairs on the window. Primes record is clean. Now if I had problems like this with a company that offered a service like this I would be putting black marks on their records. The record never get cleaned, even if the complaint is resolve or it turns out that its false alligation and the driver/leasers is at fault it still stays on their record. A perminate note is placed on their file for 10 years just like a bill collector does with the credit bureau.
so, really honestly is the company as bad as these drivers are saying it is or is it a matter of people not being prepared to go into business for themselves. -
