Any of you lease ops telling how much your settlements are? Recruiter told me 1500 was low end and could no prob get over 2000 bring home. Sounds like horse hockey, but would like some feedback on this

If you're on a good board with access to good freight, yup - numbers are doable. It depends on where you're at and the available freight, how good you are at containing your expenses, and how you run. $1500 per week average is achievable on a solo truck. $2000 and up is more what you'd see on a team/training truck.

The big variable is the fuel bill. Got a case of lead foot? Have a 65mph ego? Plan on eating a lot of ramyen noodles.

I'm leasing now from somebody else, but would like to switch to percentage. Paid by mile sucks and trust me when I say 60 or slower

general question but.. if you were in an accident but were not the driver, does that count as something you have to report in the app? the cops still get your name/info so not sure if that goes into the record...

also in the application you dont have to put the tickets you had right? i cant possibly remember even though its only been a few all the dates...

    also

is it possible to get hometime during the training phases? like for an emergency at least?

unless you were ticketed or at fault for the accident as a passenger. If you were, do tell us. That would be an odd story.

yes to all tickets within the specified period.

yes to emergencies. Yes to hometime during training, but they tell you not to expect it for the first 6 weeks. Its usually 4 weeks of orientation, on the road instruction, and testing. Then they want 2 weeks on the road with the trainer before first hometime.

No it won't - only if you're the driver.

Yes, you have to list all of your tickets within the last five years. If you can't remember the offenses and dates, you should get a copy of your motor vehicle record, and go from it. They'll assume you're trying to hide something if you don't disclose this on your application - that's a deal killer.

Sure... any time you have a family emergency, Prime will do it's best to get you home right away. Sometimes you'll run across a d&$k dispatcher, but bumping a situation up the chain a level will fix that. You can get a break during training. You just have to arrange that with your trainer and FM. Most folks choose not to in order to get it over with and on their own.

In a nutshell tell them EVERYTHING . If you once swallowed your allowance when you were 7 and had to wait a day and a half to get it back, tell them about it... Not thatuch info lol but tell them as much as would seem absolutely necessary.
