Go OTR and you'll see all the states. Some are harder to get to than others, but eventually you hit them all.
When it's time for hometime, your dispatcher will get you home to SLC so you will have no worries on that.
However, as regular freight runs, barring home time, you will deliver or pass near SLC more than any other city OUT WEST. (When I say pass, you come close and Bypass it with I84 into Ogden if you are headed to Corrine, ID and points in that direction) but there are plenty of deliveries in SLC proper. Denver is part of the West region, but I get thru or to SLC far more times than Denver.
That's if youre out west. Anyone who would like more opportunities of stopping or passing thru with a load running OTR at Prime should live near Chicago, Indy, Columbus, Nashville, Knoxville... Pretty much the "meaty middle USA" of I 80, 70 or 40.

Perfect, I live in Ogden less than 2 minutes away from I-84. In the mouth of Weber Canyon. I can see it if I walk up the hill from my house. I see Prime trucks at the FJ and Pilot almost every day off of 21st and 12th in Ogden. Thanks Chucktaylor thats exactly what I was hoping to hear. For some reason I thought swift had pretty much an exclusive contract with the Walmart warehouse's here.

So I would guess Clarksville would be a good place to live. It is about 45 miles NW of Nashville. -
I live about 20 miles south of Clarksville about 35 miles west of Nashville just off i40 exit 182 or 172 kinda in middle of both usually get through there for a drive by to have dinner or so with wife about 2-3 times a month I train and stay out 12 weeks at a time then go home for 2 weeks give or take a couple dayssnowman1 Thanks this. -
So I take it you lease? -
O/O -
Anyone here on the western regional 11?
-
Can you lease more than one truck?
-
One thing you need to understand, is there is a serious limit to how far "in the hole" you can get that these folks will tolerate. They can and do terminate leases for serious financial indebtedness on ONE truck.
