How many years did he have driving? Leasing?

 

That's why I asked. I know it sounded like a dumb question. But I've heard of other companies doing this. I remember reading about a company that did, only after one completed lease, and a certain amount of capital was accessible.

 

One thing the nay-saying folks are right about is that the fixed costs are quite high. That's offset by a strong warranty program through Freightliner- can say about the Paccar and International folks though. I'd want a pile of cash in the bank to finance something like that though, and being a bit conservative by nature, I'd want to get all the way through one just to prove that I knew how to do it before jumping in the deep end.

 

Owner/Operators can have more than one truck. You can go two ways, Ace lease each truck and put a driver in it (there are a few fleet operators inside Prime doing this) or purchase qualified trucks and lease them to prime with prime cleared drivers. You have two choices for employees:
1. Let Prime lease drivers to you for xx cpm (that you specify) and they do all the bookwork for taxes and everything
or
2. Run your own company and employ them, pay them, tax them, etc doing all the management yourself.

 

Any info on cost of the ace lease for a 2014 cascadia?

 

I was responding more in the case of a new lease op with not a lot of experience. Then again, when I signed my first lease, we were just out of the "Great Recession," and things were a bunch tighter. At that time you couldn't get an ACE lease without completing a regular 3-year lease first.

The works including truck payment, insurance, plates, permits, etc was quoted to me as $1300 per week.

 

Gotta a quick question concerning health.
If u had dental work done will that work against you? My reason for asking because this is my dilemma right now. My health is very good condition. Can I also bring my recent physical to prime with me??
I wont get sent home again like a failure again.

i don't understand the dental part.

Dont bother having any physical done unless its something you want see for yourself if you will pass before leaving.

Prime won't even look at it that physical or consider it.

The physical done by Prime's Doctor is the only one that will get you in their door.

 

Okay as for the dental part my upper teeth was Bad I mean really bad soo I had to remove and u have a partial denatures will that hinder me from getting hired by prime?
