If it was that long ago, and nothing since it shouldn't be a problem.

    Hello Drivers,

I am an aspiring driver with a question regarding Obama care: How will this new law affect the premiums you pay for insurance? Does anyone know what will change from the way things are now? I have read that Springfield has an onsite clinic also. Is there somewhere else on this site these questions have already been addressed?
I hope to sign on with Prime in the fall as a PSD student. Thank you all,

    Eric

p.s. I don't care to discuss the politics of right/left, since that does nothing to advance the dialogue, really. "Just the facts, ma'am." Or sir. Thank you.

No clue at this point. I've read that in some places the rate that premiums are increasing has slowed down. We shall see.

I'm still trying to figure out what trucks you solo Prime drivers run. I used to drive a Freightliner condo cab, and I think I understand that your trucks are smaller, but my google-foo* is failing me on the "lightweight" category. Can you toss me some actual makes AND models so I can look them up and take a peek at the insides, please? ... And please, HOW do you put in blank lines between paragraphs in this forum?

    Blank lines just hit enter.

Prime's company solo drivers drive 'lightweight' trucks. When I was there, Prime had Cascadia lightweights, Pete lightweights (I've heard these were phased out), Prostar Lightweights, and a KW Lightweight. With the Cascadias being the most popular. I don't have any interior pictures, but to try and explain it. The front driver area looks almost identical to a full size truck. Now when you turn around, instead of having that space towards your bunk, you have your bed almost right away. My bed actually touched my driver seat. Their was 1 bed, a couple storage spaces above it and the bed could be lifted for storage below. Outside of this, lightweights also have a smaller engine.

Here's an outside pic of my old one.

They're kind of hard to find pictures of (I tried to google when I first started too) because very few companies actually use them, especially for otr.

Edit: Here's is an album of JCWs lw truck inside, this is a 2012 Cascadia LW.
