    Hey Ironpony,
I just had a follow up visit with my regular md.
My bp is perfect, but my BMI IS 43. If I have the sleep apnea test done at home where I can have my insurance pay for it, do you think Prime would accept it, even if it comes up negative ?

If it's done by a qualified sleep clinc, yes. If you're positive you will need.to be under treatment. Also if you get a machine it will need to be the kind that can have a card read for usage from a remote location.

    DWNR2 Thanks this.

Not trying to be rude but did you follow the chain of command or call your fm before u decided to quit. If u attended orientation they told you exactly what to do if issues arose, so if you jump ship before you did any of that who's fault is it really, ( birds chirping !!!! )

It's mostly 48-state OTR. There are some regional things, but they're uncommon, and you have to be in the right place at the right time.

Do you have to live in certain cities to work for Prime? I live in Las Vegas and would like to work for them, specifically their tanker division, but I would be willing to relocate.

Check with the recruiter about the Tanker division, I think you pretty much have to be in the midwest, but not sure. As far as living in Vegas, not an issue, I live in Fallon, outside of Reno and I worked for them, and I know there are other drivers living in Las Vegas.
    Hope this helps ya

Hi, I've applied for a job at prime and was wondering what was the deal was with choosing a truck through the success leasing program? Do they give you many options on what truck you can get, make, model, color etc.?

Success is the captive third-party leasing company used for Prime's lease operation. All of the trucks are administered through there, including all of the company trucks assigned to Prime employees. It's just an administrative deal for the company guys.

Company drivers get assigned what's available the day you are scheduled to get your truck. For first time lease drivers, you get a choice of what's available that day. If you're looking for a short term lease (what's left of a three-year lease truck that's been turned in early) - they go quite quickly. Leasing will open up enough new trucks so that all of the new ICs get one. That being said, it's subject to availability. There are times (especially just after the turn of the year) when the pickin's are quite lean. The OEMs shut down their production lines in December for the holidays, and do their production changes for the next year at that time. Depending on what Prime does for a pre-buy in late fall, they may or may not have sufficient trucks available for everyone during January.

Once you've completed a lease, you can order a truck the way you want it. But you have to get to the next lease for that to happen.
