Crazy HC, did you solo out at MTC? Last I saw you were waiting for a different truck. I am supposed to do my solo test tomorrow

Yes I did solo and I did my first load and made on time delivery. Its a long story but I resigned and choose to go.with a company that would offer me more training as mtc told me they could not because I was already solo. My dm agreed with me that if I felt I need more training she understood, she was great. I hold nothing against the company I really like that company but im sure I will also be great with prime. I hear wonderful things. I have a good attitude so im fine were ever I go. I wish you the best dude keep in touch.

I did get a.different truck with a.different trainer and that is what made the whole problem. As they say one.door closes another opens I think they say that lol

You will have plenty of opportunity during TNT to experience the more complicated routes. Any competent trainer would be awake and sitting next to you during these situations. Even better, he wakes you up and has you sitting next to him the first couple times.
As to "it seems like a bad idea..." just exactly when would it be a good idea to send a rookie on those routes? When would it be a good idea to waste fuel and time to send them around these routes? If you are looking to avoid some of these routes, then you are closing off entire areas of the country in which we run.Highway101, n3ss, TruckinWithJosh and 1 other person Thank this. -
I think rookies can run any routing as long as they train you properly. I would not be worried you will get the training you need. Thats why I want to come here they say the training is very good.

Yup.
@ ironpony: Thank you for the reply. I look forward to networking with you in the coming year and get as much good info on how to be successful in trucking and the Prime, inc. way of doing it. Safe travels to you. -
Few more questions, is there a pay difference between flatbed and reefer? and can you go straight into flatbed?
