You will be responsible for having the Dr fax over all of the appropriate paperwork. Squat down and walk like you are going under a trailer.

I find it Easier to relax at the Pittston terminal than at the springmo terminal. Inn Pittston abound 8:30 on 9:00 in the tv lounges you get a half dozen or so drivers sitting around all mellowed out and watching whatever's in the boobtoob.

dont get me Wrong , springmo terminal is very nice too but way too busy.

They will need to see that you have been released for full duty from said accident. So, it's on you to go to the office and get a copy of those records and release. (I had to do this when hubs went to Prime, for an accident that occurred in 2009 that shattered 1/2 his hand.)

I think some if you have mentioned this , but just to clarify , do you get your hazmat/twic/passport while going through training? Are those things handled in the first week , or after you get your license/hired?

TWIC/Passport you can get (apply for) while at orientation. Hazmat is a different monster altogether. You can get your fingers printed before you head to Prime, but you will have to take the HM test when you go back home to xfer your license to your home state. It is the one endorsement that will not transfer.

Do you have to take the hazmat test after you have your license, or is that something you can apply for while you still have a permit?

My recruiter, as well as others here, said not to worry about getting it before going to prime. Seems like it'd be better to get it out of that way now..

Don't worry about it before going to Prime. Get your fingers dusted in your home state, if you wish ($$). But don't take the hazmat test until you go to transfer your license back to your home state. You will just have to take the test (and pay for it) again. It does not transfer like the license does.

    n3ss Thanks this.

Thanks... Another question, If I opt to drive to Springfield rather than take the bus, is there parking at the terminal or something?

You can park at the Campus Inn (the hotel where you will stay and take orientation at). Also, Prime will reimburse you for travel expenses at 10 cents a mile.

There is long term parking at the Millennium building also. That is where you will have to park your car when you take off with your Instructor. Best check though with the recruiter on that one as you will not be an employee of Prime untill you get back from the PSD training and you pass the test. The reason I say this is because that parking is considered Employee only, and you won't be an employee yet. So I would ask to be sure be fore I drove down.
