This has been a long #### weekend for me. Hoping by end of day tomarrow I'll know if I'm headed to training in Springfield or to my Mom's place in Oklahoma.

Recruiter says I'll go through the refresher course, could someone explain what that entails?

Probably just 15,000ish trainee miles. It's what I had to do.

Because they were over dressed (ties and slacks), or dressed inappropriately in some way?

I've not had to double clutch since school in 2007, I went to USX out of school. Just hoping for some practice on that after orientation, before going out with a load and trainer

What can one expect his check to be like as a company driver starting off at 0.37 cpm. Answers from other new drivers would be appreciated... Good weeks? Bad weeks?

In a LW truck, I made between $900 and $1300 consistently.

There will be good and bad weeks... and slack parts of the year. Freight has a yearly cycle that has to be navigated. If you take home time, you're not going to be paid when the wheels aren't turning, and you're sittin' on the couch with your woman.

Even company drivers have to put some cash aside to cover the up's 'n down's. What JB said about covers it. There's been some pay raises, and the LW bonus wasn't something that was on the books when I was on the company side. My average was 800+ after taxes.
