I live in Vegas. I run flatbed out of SLC. I was told they have good freight going through that area. If you have your cdl you should be going to SLC for orientation. There isn't a simulator there so be sure you can drive a 10spd. If you fail the road test you will be sent home. I'm on my trainers truck now. I've had a bit of driving elsewhere so I am only required to get 15k ish miles to learn load securement. If you don't have experience then you can expect to drive 30-40k.

Any of you with a recently newer truck get on of those memory foam mattresses that come rolled up when you get it? I have one. If it's cool in the truck it's like laying on a slab of concrete until it warms up . I'd rather have a regular mattress

my nephew just started with prime, flatbed side .. he was told that the flatbed drivers must pay for all chains , straps and etc as a company driver and then when they are done with prime, that prime may buy it from them ... has anyone ever heard of this crap or are they pulling one over on him ...
