It's simple math(which way do i slide the tandems), you back to a dock, wait to be loaded, and drive from point a-b. Company side that's about all you need to know. Flat bed you need to know all the equipment you run, what it's used for and why, working load limits, how to place the load to make sure your going to be legal to far forward and your sol. We don't have tandems to slide if the dumb ### at Tyson or national beef loaded it to far forward or back. I have a book that's 417 pages of nothing but laws and regulations on how to secure your cargo. When I hauled reefer it was nothing but what I just said.
skellr Thanks this. -
the other person was right. If you have a problem or accident, eventually safety will look at your record and ask your FM why he felt the need to cut corners with.
Final say is safety. That's the only place you could ask next. Everyone above your FM will brush you off to them. -

I am not sure if anyone knows the answer, but I read on here that a guy was fired from a job and then applied to Prime. He was told to wait six months or find a job for six months then apply again. Well I was let go from a previous job and I do have a current job but have only been working for 4 months. Does anyone on here have a similar experience and can advise what to expect? I will wait if I need to but would like to get started as soon as I can. I am not liking my current job and have had that itch to get back on the road.

What division you run in?
-
Another question for anyone running northeast reefer what is the average on miles per week
-
Well after reading through most of this thread and the what to expect thread all of my questions have been answered except two.
1: As far as facial hair goes, Is a full beard acceptable if it is well groomed?
Side note: if it is not it will be gone well before I hit the bus. Just good info to have.
2: What is prime's opinion on ccw?
Again not a big issue as where I work now don't allow it so I am kinda used to going naked...
Other than that as soon as I locate my DD214's I will be setting a date and anxiously waiting. Thanks to all for the great info. -
Facial hair no problem ccw will not be a problem either as no firearms allowed on trucks
-
That is incorrect sir... ccw must be checked and double checked as far as state laws but there are no law that says it is illegal to have a firearm in a CMV... if you know of such a law I would love to see it... but thank you for your reply.
