With the high failure rate of PSD students what would you guys say are the big reasons people most often don't make the cut?

Lying about their background, medically unfit, and have no business driving an 80,000-lb CMV.
Dodgerfan82 Thanks this. -
Unless there are that many liars out there it seems like the recruiting process should weed those people out before they even get to Springfield. I'm curious as for those that do get to the behind the wheel part of training what usually cause people problems at that point? From a trainers point of view.

That's the usual plus those that disappear due to work being involved, homesick, not going to make $1,000,000 in their first year. If you can't acquire the skill to pass the CDL driving test in 3 to 5 weeks, driving dangerously and can't be coached, damaging equipment- you're gone.
What are you looking for? This is the usual... and yes, there are lots who washout trying to conceal their backgrounds. Intensive background checks are expensive enough that they are only done on the final cut who make it to orientation.Dodgerfan82 Thanks this. -
Not really looking for anything in particular. I had to push my orientation date back a couple weeks while I am waiting for a couple things, just curious since I have heard that weekly class sizes are 40-80 or so people that just tells me that a lot of people are washing out. Only thing I am worried about personally is the fact that I am getting BP numbers slightly over 140/90 requirement.. "slightly lol, yesterday I got 141/83. So I am power dieting and working out a LOT trying to naturally knock it down a tad.. otherwise I will have to get meds
guess I am just bored and fighting off the career move jitters.

Ok so having just finished my taxes for the year I have a question about Prime the. .36/mile that I believe Prime pays starting flatbed drivers is that including the whole per diem thing that I only partially understand? I ask because as I see it being that I have e dependants and a house I am not going to want the whole company fronted per diem thing. Even though it puts more money in my checks each week after taxes it seems to me like it would hurt my yearly bottom line. Sooooo opting not to take it does that mean Prime would actually be paying me a few cents less per mile? This is all assuming that Prime allows me to not do the company per diem thing?

Which part of it? Lol. Your answer wasn't very detailed, sorry to have to ask..

my apologies.. well the per diem thing really isn't the best system is it? It pretty much screws you at the end of the year just to make it look like you are getting paid more per mile.. Im sure that is way to generalized but still...
