Interestingly, you pretty much described the course at the tech school not far from here. The difference is that their course is 9 weeks (4 day weeks), and costs $7000. The student I talked to said that they spend 2 days on the pad and 2 days on the road per week. A turn on the pad is 15-20 minutes, and they get 2-3 turns per day.
Anyone who goes to a school without first finding out who hires grads from that school deserves whatever they get.

How well equipped are the Prostar and Cascadia eco49 tractors? I'm thinking about applying at Prime after truck driving school? Also, has any Army veterans taken advantage of bringing in their DA 348 to get credit for military driving?

I just remembered I took a hit of cannabis to be social 6 weeks ago-- does Prime currently do a hair drug test for new drivers entering training? Or is it only urine? I know a lot of companies seem to be shifting to hair because it catches many times more people.
Not trying to open this whole can of worms, but as a motorcycle and bicycle rider I actually don't think people should be able to smoke and drive ever, and support the use of drug testing in traffic stops even where it is legal. I know some tests indicate it has no bearing but I just don't believe it, and am already worried about the pill-billy drivers in the region where I live.
Thanks. -
Last I heard, Prime was urine only. If, as you say, you took ONE hit six weeks ago, then you'll be clean. Get one of the cannabis test kits from the drug store if you want to make sure.
Hair testing is NOT recognized by the Feds. As such, failing a hair test can NOT be reported to anyone outside the company, which means it can't be put on your DAC report. Only urine and blood test failures (and refusals, of course) can be reported.password Thanks this. -
I read through a thread from last December on this topic. Only one user answered the original poster, who I then private messaged to confirm.
"I know a few people who went through with prime. They do follicle testing."
Unless I hear otherwise I'm going to wait a few months before applying.
I'm also watching youtube videos right now of new hires from only the last few months, and at least one mentioned a urine test *but* not a hair test.
I'm going to keep gathering data, but, again, leaning towards a wait. -
I've been with prime 2 yrs. came through the psd program . Prime did not and does not do hair testing. Strictly urine because of the quick results for starters.

Prime has never done hair testing. Be advised if you fail the orientation drug test you will be going home at your own cost. Failing a random after you're hired is grounds for immediate termination or having your lease canceled. Zero tolerance, no second chances.

The best and only sure way to test clean is. Be CLEAN , I personally could care less what u do , but I've got a family and I don't want to hear of them getting taken because of some dumb### got behind the wheel of a big truck high. These trucks are dangerous enough in the hands of a clean ,sober driver.
