    Excuse me!!

Where in a discussion of DRIVING EXPERIENCE when insurance is mentioned can one get to HEALTH and DOCTORS, let alone UNIONS???

When I mentioned insurance it was related to the higher probability that a driver with no recent experience might be more likely to be involved in a TRAFFIC accident if promoted early to the training environment. The insurance folks who determine who gets covered by commercial liability insurance almost always want a driver who has had a long break from driving to run with an instructor first.

"Happy" is a bit too strong of a word. "Have no overwhelming reasons to go elsewhere" is a bit closer. :) I thought that the lack of an APU would be a problem, but it's amazing what window screens and a 20" box fan will do for sleeping comfort...

But to answer your first question, going (back) to Prime has always been the plan. I happened to land a spot on a dedicated account that pays a little better than Prime starting pay, so the financial need to move was eliminated. The management went out on a limb to take a chance on such a green driver (I was six weeks solo), and so I am hesitant to leave right now, as they are short on drivers. (One of our DMs left and poached a bunch of drivers.)

I was initially accepted into the PSD program on 9/15; my current plan is to join Prime around that time.

My waiting was due to a combination of factors that were only present for several weeks at that time. Prime had just changed their policy of having female students with male instructors, and the recruiters were sending everyone in without regard to how many qualified instructors were available. Since I had waited a few weeks before going to SpriMo (two week notice at old job and all that), all the instructors had students... and I didn't anticipate they would keep their students for TnT.

I anticipate being back at Springfield this fall... if the heat doesn't convince me to go sooner!

I just noticed that in my settlement. They really need to keep it higher. $300 isn't very helpful.

its not a week long more like 3 days not sure if they pay you company guys or not but I wouldn't think you would go broke taking the class grab a PSD and roll with the 300 you get for the student and the load you leave out with over the weekend you should still get a check

If my guess is correct, you won't be paid anything. You know how it is on the company side, the wheels aren't turning, you're not earning. However, you should be eligible for a free room at the Campus Inn, and your FM will provide meal tickets... the rest per purple prime's post. Give your FM a call, he'll know the details for sure.

Officially they don't pay the company drivers anything according to my FM when I went through it. Unofficially, he wanted me to become a PSD instructor bad LOL, so he paid me out of his pool 150.00 per day LOL. Plus while I was there I cherry picked the best student in the current PSD class, turned him around in 2 weeks with a trifectia.

    long_run Thanks this.
