BTW... If you've read any of the orientation or training threads you would know to bring all the info you need to fill out your app again.

This is the real one, kept on file, in your own handwriting. So don't lie or omit. They may or may not catch it at hire if it's something new, but they will catch eventually with the annual review they conduct.

 

Yeah, MAV, I also sent my letter from TSA from where I was cleared for my HAZ MAT so that might have helped since they do a big time background check on you.

 

Yeah I know you have to bring a lot of information with you to fill out the paper app.... NO omit anything and def not lying. I think Prime will make a good fit for me..... I don't want to be one of those horror stories of the guy getting kicked out for some stupid omission. Thanks.

 

I got my email today after we got it to the right one. It says prior work history for the last 10 yrs, all crimal background, and even says if there's something you have done to let them know now and not wait till later as they don't want to have to kick you out because getting home is on you if you have omitted it.

 

They were lying to you, your tax papers are NOT where you look to see if someone has been sitting in jail. It IS however where you look to see if someone was collecting unemployment benefits. I've got nothing against PRIME, but that right there was flatout shenanigans on their part. I'm surprised they would ask for your tax returns, that doesn't really sound legal or even reputable. Saw a lot of PRIME trucks running through Chicago this week, and a ton of TMC trucks as well.

 

I bet he's confused or mis heard. I have heard in the past that they want tax forms if the applicant was self employed... It is what it is... DOT wants verifiable work history.

 

They ask for tax returns if you have no other way of verifying employment, etc. For example, a workplace that went out of business - no trace of the former owner. Self employment... although they took a couple of letters from some of my clients when I applied.

 

Yeah, they asked for my tax forms. I had a past employer that refused to respond to Prime in any way. Tax forms proves that I worked there.

 

They could get ahold of my past employers, it was my unemployment they wanted. I was told it was to prove I just wasn't in jail. Not misinformed, I asked why they needed them and that's what she said. Or is the real fact they want to know how much you are use to making so if they pay you right around the same amount you'll be happy?????

Sound like a hassle already with your "pay theories"... Your not even at Prime yet and you are borderline bashing them... Get in line behind all the other bozos...

I have some respect for former employees who complain... Zero for those who ##### from the sidelines and have never even worked at Prime.

If you don't like the app process than don't come.
