Thanks, that is what I had heard about from the guys at Central. So I guess I will pose the question to Travis as to how I will get back home. Maybe my trainer may be able to get a load down this way and drop me off. If I get back home on my own I can buy an openended round trip air ticket when I go to school. I'm sorry you guys probable get asked the same questions over and over. I looked but didn't see this topic about Prime.

KA5 You will need a tesat truck so you can run your test in it I think, I'm not sure if they will take the MO. license and just transfer it over. I hope this brings some type of confirmation for you. Take Care. TD

I don't know about LA but Illinois will make me retest completely to switch back to their license. I asked the recruiting department at Prime and they said they will send the trainer here with me to use the truck and get it swapped over.

All you need to do is call the DMV. I know IL does but as far as I know they are the only one. I know NC who I am transfering mine to only requires you to take a road signs written test and a vision test. Other then that you have to do your hazmat and all other endorsments transfer.

Yeah IL got into a bunch of trouble years ago I guess something about people buying CDls instead of actually testing. I don't know for sure just what I have heard.

Thanks to all for your help. It looks a little more to it than I thought. I guess a call to Travis might be in order. I'm sure they have done this many times and know what to do. It sounds to me like a visit to LA with my trainer and his truck may be required. You've helped a lot guys, sometimes I try to plan too far ahead.

Like Milskired said before a quick call to your local DMV should give you the best answer that way you know exactly what they require.

I'd get my permit in LA if I were you. Negates the need to take the written tests again, and makes orientation much easier. Then it's a simple trip to the DMV whenever your in LA. Might as well get all the hazmat stuff done too. Want that done when you transfer over, or you're going to pay again to have it added.

    stlcardsfn Thanks this.

Good point on the hazmat thanks. They actually suggested that I get my permit prior to going to Springmo when I talked to the recruiter this morning.
