Not getting along with the trainer and not like the way this company operates, after an argument over my drive time I asked to be let off the truck half way to a delivery. Is this considered abandoning the truck if the trainer is still able to deliver on time

Tell the company the trainer kicked you off the truck.
    `
Well, could be abandonment if you were on a team run.

What’s team about it if I’m in my 120hrs of training and doing all the driving etc, I’d still have to complete a backing test and OTR test once back at the terminal to be upgraded to a 1st seat driver, they’ll probably ask if I want a new trainer, but I don’t like how when we’re supposed to pre-trip the trainer puts it in the elog but just goes off and lets his dog pee and gets snacks then says let’s roll. I’m supposed to have a driver coordinator but haven’t heard from anyone since day 1

Well he’s still delivering the load tomorrow night. We’re only 200 miles from the drop off and the dispatcher just told him they couldn’t do anything about the situation tonight, they’d have to wait till morning to probably get me a bus ticket or something …just don’t see how it’s abandonment if it’s his truck and he’s still taking the delivery just by himself now

    77fib77 Thanks this.

    Probably not abandonment then.
Put apps in for a new job.
