I have the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G. Now, I didn't get it because of 5G; I got it for everything else it has. The 5G was just a nice bonus whenever I could pick it up--or so I thought. Is it just me or does your S20 Ultra 5G seem to come to a complete stop whenever it shows 5G in the top-right corner of the screen? To be clear, no, I'm no talking about the lie that is "5Ge." I'm talking about AT&T's legit 5G. Anytime I'm on 5G, it's like I don't have signal at all. No internet, anyway. Is anyone else experiencing this?
By comparison to Verizon's ultra-fast, ultra-short range 5G? Sure. But at the very #### least, AT&T's version shouldn't be slower than 4G LTE, right?
only verizon has the fastest speeds. you got to look past that sales pitch. compare speeds, download, upload, streaming etc
I have. Speeds are insane on Verizon 5G, but it's availability and range is so limited right now that it's not worth switching to. I'm just pissed that whenever my 5G phone picks up AT&T's so-called actual 5G (not 5Ge), I lose all connectivity.
I did a little research and found this. Hope it helps: Make sure 5G is enabled. Open Settings, and then search for and select Network mode. Tap Network mode, and then tap an option that includes 5G connectivity. It also says you can try restarting your phone to see if that helps.
I appreciate the suggestion. However, I do not have a "Network mode" option and/or an option to turn off or on 5G. And of course, I've restarted my phone several times.
