After dedicating 3yrs 6 mnths to swift dm told me I have to run how she want me to run so her numbers can look good.
I had a great time with swift 3yrs otr 4months dollar tree dedicated and on my second month on a regional account. There are some great dm but there are a few who thinks as an owner I work for them.
Otr is no longer what I want to do, in my search to find something regional that will get me home more often because the truck is paid off I end up on the worst dm board in my time with swift.
So at this time I think its time to take my business somewhere else
When your dm is more concerned about her numbers than she is concerned about your business making a profit its time to fire that dm.
Best of luck to everyone, I have nothing bad to say about swift, great training company but as an owner a dm should not be telling me how to run my truck, if the load is not profitable to me I should have the final say so if I want to run it.
I'm not new to this, this is my second truck I know how to run and I know the loads are not always what we want but it should be my decision if I want to run it or not.
When I'm getting 100+ or 200+ miles loads back to back and I have to sit on each load all day that's not profitable to me.
So I'm moving on to a company where I decide how my business run and the dm don't dictate that for me
At the end of my journey with swift!

Where is home ?

X2, where is home? I seen where Ashley Furniture is hiring in Tennessee and they make around 70K per year. But let us know where your home 20 is.

They make big bucks on those short runs, and pay you the same. In the independent world of spot market freight I can get $3-$8 per mile on those short ones. I just did one that was 100 miles, and it paid $6.75 per mile. Since you're locked in at a set rate and need miles, I'd tell em to stick it, too.
Good luck driver. -

I agree they pay good but look on this. Start your day with a fresh 11hrs run a 180 miles load pick up at 10am don't deliver untill 2200 in time like this you will idle away your profit sitting

Who unloads those trailers??
