First off I'm new here, so if this is in the wrong spot mods feel free to move it.
I'm 21 y/o from Wisconsin and want a career OTR. I have a couple questions and the state didn't really answer them so I'm hoping one of you can.
If I was to go to a school, either private or a company sponsored school, would I be legal to drive for a company where you only have to be 21 from out of state since the minimum age in Wisconsin is 23?
Any help is greatly appreciated
At what age am i legal to go OTR?

It's my understanding and I'm new to this so I may be wrong. I believe the state where you'll be attending school is the one where you will be licensed so you just need to fit that state's requirements and any that the trucking company may have imposed. In Missouri you can get a cdl at 21 but the company you want to work for may have another age limit. Look up the state you'll be training in or just call the school you'll be attending and ask.
buckfanatic Thanks this. -
21 is the minimum age for over the road driving. A lot of companies out there want you to be at least 23. I started when I was 21 and didn't have a problem but things have changed since then.

There are companies out there that still hire at 21. I believe Watkins Shepard does. Don't know about the Wisconsin thing though.
