ATM Fail ..

    Who would of thought an ATM machine would fail. Well, it happened yesterday, this machine took $$ from my account but did not dispense anything.
    so.. after calling the company responsible for the ATM transaction, I was first told to call the company of my card and file a claim, I asked the gal on the other end of the phone how long will will it take before I see a refund.. she says 3 to 10 business days.. Of course I complained for a moment then realized that wasn't going anywhere.

    While on the phone with the company of my card, the gal I just hung up with called me back and said to give it 24 hours before filing a claim, that the ATM company should reimburse the funds back to my card by the then but if not with in 24 hrs, then file a claim. I'm happy to say that the ATM company came through with the reimbursement with-in 12 hours.

    I had one in Rawlins, WY keep my comdata card years ago when I used it for my pay at Stevens. Luckily it was a local bank and one of their emoyees came out and retrieved it for me.

    It can happen. Sometimes they run out of money. I had it happen to me. Called the Atm company and they told me the same.
    I also called my bank and gave them the info.
    3 bussiness days later money put back into my account..

    I had it happen to me and the money was reimbursed before the end of the day. I called both the ATM institution and my bank, but apparently the ATM figured it out on its own that it goofed and reinstated the funds. I think the newer ATM's will do that. It may take a few hours, or a day, but I think they are smart machines now that can figure and take care of these things on their own.

    The one time it happened to me the machine gave me a reciept showing that no money had been withdrawn from my account.
