I've been in orientation the past 2 days, and while I'm on my way home i get a call from the people at swift saying I need to go to the dmv tomorrow because they have to put my physical on my license. I'm confused by what she meant by this, I don't remember doing this when I first worked for swift

medical is supposed to be linked to our CDL's.

some states, you can mail it in, some states you have to go in person, they scan it, you're done.

Just take your long form medical papers to the license branch and they’ll take care of it.
    In Indiana it’s free.

It is Federal law. Not Swift policy. Relatively new. Anytime you get a new medical card you have to go to the dmv for what is called self certification. I know in Ohio you just hand them you medical card, short form, they copy it and do a few things on the computer, then you pay them $3. It is not hard, just takes a few minutes time.

And some states, like MI you simply go to a website and do it. But in a nutshell take your med card to the DMV, and tell them and they can walk you through whatever is needed.

I'm not 100% sure, but I was under the impression this syncing was to be done automatic.
