Hey imadj, I tried doing that, but they won't do anything outside the state and I have to be here and "available for employment". I guarantee you if I was trying to milk the system and just sat on my #$$, I could do it. It's pretty backwards if you ask me.
Have you started C1 yet? If not, when so?

I guess you all can see how backwards the Commonwealth of Virginia is, eh? I guess they'd rather me sat at home and ride the system than get out and work and make the slightest little difference in society.

Im with freebird, we were in the same group at c1 in Indy. It was a great experience, and I met alot of nice people. Got my cdl and am going ro start a new career on the 13th. The people at the school were cool. But I must admit that it is pretty fast paced and if you slack off one day you will be catching up for the next few days....Trust me I know it happened to me. But I wish you luck with your future career my friend. Dont be discouraged and keep your wheels on the road!!!

Hello, anyone in C1 or recently out of the school send an update if you can, Thanks... I am still scheduled for class on 20 July, though I might wait until 27 July. I have applied at Roehl in WI. also...waiting to see if I get a start date. I am reading the e-Gears workbook getting ready. I realize that most of my training will come from OJT and experience. Good Luck to all...

Hi there, C1 was dealing with both USA and PAM trucking. I went thru the C1 school in Fort Worth TX back in june of 07. Had my cdl in 4 days. Class was good and the instructors there were great and really explained alot of things to us. The hotel was something else. Lizards always knocking on your door looking for work. I was assigned to PAM but they transfered me to a sister company called Decker Transport out of NJ. I live in Houston. I worked with them for about 6 months, but I wasn't making enough for the family, so I came home and went local. I got lucky and a company hired me and know I do roll-offs and tanker work in the houston area. Actually just got assigned my very own trk now. I do runs from Houston to Tx City or Port Arthur. Home evey night and sometimes they have some otr runs. Its a good company.
