My family owned a trucking business in Ohio during the teamster strike. I know the "scabs" that had to be hired to drive the trucks were shot at by the teamsters - and the company employees were tear gassed-including my father and uncles who were shot at as well by the national guardsman. When those same national guardsman went the next day to Kent, it was them, all fired up who shot and killed the 4 students and wounded 15. They never paid for their crimes. It was an ugly mess.
Attention all company drivers!!!

Here are links to the 2 deadliest strikes on record (though neither are during the time period that jujubeee is referring): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1905_Chicago_Teamsters'_strike
Here is a place to start to look for the strike in question: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_strikes -
My question is, what kind of legal rights do WE have as driver's? One day your in the drivers seat(literally) then the next day, wondering how your going to survive do to a termination from these companies!

I dream of a day where companies barter for us to drive for them, and we pick the best offer and enjoy that 14 hour day. Anyone else think this is how it should be?
