When i was doing loblaws back in 2008-2011 they were jerks at the dispatch office back then . I believe it was loblaws staff that ran the dispatch office unlike ajax which was canada cartage and i got along with fine . Like you said They treated you like dirt . but that’s the whole warehouse staff too they think because they’re union workers that they’re better than you . I hated delivering to the warehouse that handled the dry freight non reefer stuff. The one lady had big time attitude

When we first started going to cambridge one of their shunt drivers told one of our/schneider driver don’t bother asking for help here because you will not get any . They were all pissed off because loblaws closed down the mississauga warehouse to get rid of all the union employees including drivers and opened up ajax which is run by 3rd party companies

Metro at west mall in etobicoke is even worse than loblaws with workers having major attitude issues and treating you like absolute garbage. if You don’t fellow their rules to a T you’re getting in trouble for it

I forgot about that clown. Like many from the "Youtube trucker era", he wasn't making money driving, he was trying to make money from Youtube/recruiting/brand deals. He was also out of the Florida Terminal, so WAY different operation than Canada. Now that Youtube doesn't pay anymore, the band deals are gone, and no need to recruit; its no wonder he's going broke. Also those 3 hoods he had, were never paid for, just rolled into the next lease LOL. There were a couple other Youtube truckers who tried the Scottlynn thing with W900's, and it always ended the same way; kicked to the curb bankrupt.

Yes, I remember working for Lowlaws (now Metro) at West Mall which was a clown show back in 2001 & 2002 when I did a short time there as a driver in between jobs. The worse pretentious bast***ds I ever met. Thr new Canadians then however had more respect and followed the rules compared to this 2nd batch of Chaos. I actually had a delievery there theough a broker in December last in October. The joke was it got way worse and I made sure never to take a load there again. It's extremely sad that the Canadian government took forever to wake up concerning the chaos which they're now trying to clean up. But with an over abundance of obsessed cultured trucker being 85% of the industry with the other chaos of Tariffs and cusma agreement getting closer to ending next year. I can see even more problems in trucking in Canada. I've been talking to Carriers offering me driving packages because they can see it occurring if I decide to give up on my business. Many foreseen the massive student visa who became truckers deportation as a hard hit for spring time. As much as their are not much jobs now once the clean up occurs rates, wages etc.. will have to go up especially with corrupted Carriers like 'Scottyln Commodities'. The tables are starting to turn slow for the drivers and legit carriers.

Transx was begging for drivers 45 years ago!
I recall their ads from Truck News rag from back then.
Arnold Bros as well, so many low rent companies that continue the same practices today but now on the backs of new Canadians

Well considering what's occurring in the entire North American trucking industry throughout Canada and thr USA. In 2026, those companies are going to be begging for born trained Canadians and Ameircans especially with Freight rates being down. They will have no other choice but to Pony up the money in order to keep on operatoring or join the rest of the Bankruptcy shutdown ones. Some say this is the worse its ever been in trucking. And the new Canadians driving these automatic trucks sliding off the highways isn't helping out anyone either.

me and the only other driver for night shift at kriska are off today no work, so i lose a days pay . i’m hoping something changes next spring because with everything costing so much now i’m fed up with the no work bs and can’t make more then 60k here . it’s time for a change but i don’t get that warm and fuzzy feeling from any of the companies hiring . especially when you check employee reviews

Kriska tried the whole bringing new canadians over from india with the deal that they would help you get citizenship and guess what not many have stayed. They all fellow the money trail and leave .

I hate to leave i like it where i work but the money stinks and after 13 years of putting up with it i’m done . But with the industry being so bad and companies don’t give a crap about you as an employee and will fire you whenever they feel like it . I feel it’s too risky to lose my job right now

He hasn’t been on youtube for over a year but his last video was him crying about how he never made any money even though he had 3 trucks with them and was about to be evicted. I always thought something was up with him he was a cop then claimed a big shot real estate agent but got burned out so decided to try trucking . the. he tried making it big as a youtube trucker

The only guy i listen to is that drunk TheothertruckerJamesbest his livestream are funny as hell

The Rental Companies are waiting for you my guy! Even if you start as a yard dude, moving and loading/unloading equipment, its $24-32/hr to start, Driving is $35/hr to start.

I wish I had made the jump years ago (Trucking stopped being worth it in 2022), I'm glad circumstances finally pushed me out the door, and its amazing!
