According to the googolator, “jort” is another word for denim shorts.

Google it. But they’re a mix of jeans and shorts. Shorts cut off below the knee. My google search showed some nice women wearing them.

Nobody really gets 11 hrs of driving unless you are the best planner ever

Shorts cut off below the knee? Like those goofy basketball shorts that make the wearer appear that they don hand me down clothes from much larger siblings?
No thanks. I'm ugly enough without wearing clown clothes.

Again your at BEST being disingenuous and frankly imo misleading. You say most. Using your own averages that means half of driving jobs make MORE then that. Median is right in the middle. So no its not "most" its "half". That doesnt mean 1 or 2 drivers making 500k while the rest make 20k thats exactly half averaged out over EVERYONE. So half of drivers are making more then fast food (which btw is only 30k average on your own link)

As of right now there are some 2 almost 3 million odd trucks registered in the U.S to 577,000 trucking companys depending on which statistic you want to use. Im going to use the google one since its the most public.

If you check the hireing centers for every 1099 chicago special there is at least 1 paying much better wages. Sure are there starter companys that pay for dog ####? Absolutely. But last i checked most industrys start you makeing crap. A master welder starts doing skut work. A plumber starts as an apprentice and so on. Once you can prove your not an idiot whos going to connect the sewage and fresh water pipes or top a load under a bridge. You find better jobs open up.

Further you are compareing apples to pineapples here. The simularty ends at they are both a fruit. Fast food to get that $54K average your working TWO JOBS. Not one and even then thats iffy on if its not 3. A lot of fast food places cap you at below i think 32 hours to avoid paying insurance. And even when they dont the insurance is crap. Truckers near universially have it if company and while not the best is usually better then fast food. Retirement plans tend to be better too. Additionally we always get hours and miles as long as the companys not about to pull a YRC. Fast food, less so.

So no its not most, its not a rare thing and these companys make up a large part of your "average".

Edit: as an afterthought trucking is generally easier then fast food too. Trucking is sitting all day in an aor conditioned cab with the odd spert of hard work depending on job. Fast food is pel mel on your feet running all day in a hot kitchen dealing with a countless stream of people.

Well.....you can log 11 hrs driving, now whether you'll run 650 plus miles, that's a different story. I tend to think the amount of mileage ran is moreso an indicator of how good a planner a driver is. Me personally, I don't run more than 600 miles in a day unless I have to.

A fast food worker and most any other jobs ........are nothing compared to the Truck Driver. Drivers have an incredible amount of responsibility that is worth much more than than they are paid for. Not counting the physical work.
Any kind of prepared food is a convenience, the whole world would get along without them in fact better , Drivers are very necessary. The world would come to a stop without you. and I could go on and on. But fast food is glass.....Truck Drivers are Diamonds. OK , cept the ones that are not.

I guess Jorts are basicly "cutt offs" with a hem. cutt offs were when I was a teen just cut off jeans , after they got a hole or just worn out. They were what the surfers wore , everyone did. Ours were maybe a little shorter, but lots were like todays as well.
