Well, after looking at the pic of the scene, TT it looks like you may have gone too wide, allowing the four wheeler to try and sneak under you. The more I think about this, seems like there is plenty of fault to be shared here. Unfortunately, since you never felt (or realized) the impact and kept going, that is a big strike against you.
Looking at the spot, I would rather run up on the curb than give a four wheeler room to sneak under. Or bump the tandems up- if you could. I know a lot of local cos. equipment is junky, meaning most tandems won't slide, or if they move at all it's just enough to #### the tandems and get your wagon dog-tracking.
Of course all this discussion is elementary now, hopefully you can find another driving job and keep going- you may want to try waste management; all their local trucks (in the PGH area) have had 'now hiring' signs on them. Yes it's a stinky (pun intended) job, with loooooonnnnngggg hours, but it's a start.
Again, good luck TT.
And D16, your english is fine. Keep it up!

I'm not sure why some of you are debating who is at fault. I don't need a google map to tell me that the professional driver did not do his job professionally and is therefore the one at fault. Does it suck? Yeah, of course...kinda like hitting your own thumb with a hammer.
Too tall, I don't know you and I'm not trying to pick on you, just being honest here....... you have just explained the difference between a "professional driver" and a typical "truck driver." A typical truck driver drives a big truck with the smarts and attitude of a typical four wheeler. A professional driver would A: not be in that situation in the first place as he would know how to properly execute a right hand corner safely, and B: Would have stopped long before making contact with ANYTHING and C: should some fluke of nature happen and make contact with his/her vehicle, would have STOPPED! -

I was making a turn with a D8 14ft blade turn signal flashing lights and a pick up truck pulled right up to close to make my turn.Well the blade was going to hit him so I stopped and waited. He finally decided I wasnt going to hit him so he moved out of my way. Some 4 wheelers are looking for easy money not realizing it could mean theyre death.

Let me clear it up....
A:the truck driver at the light was very nice to me b/c i do let them over b/c nobody else will....
B: I know ALL turck drivers are NOT the same...I do know that....this man just made me mad b/c he treats us like we cant read nor understand the meaning of that sign
C:i am NOT mad at all truck drivers b/c of what happened to me.....i am mad at the son of a gun that did it to me..and werner and of course my crappy dect.
does that tell you enough....
P.S. My mom loves truck drivers....she works where she checkes then and takes the paymens to drop their produce....i know a few personally and i love then like kin.... -
Have to agree. I was stopping in one of our terminals and to get on the road you have to turn off the 5-lane road with the center lane being the turn lane. As I'm pulling up, the car at the sign realizes it's pulled up too far and backs WAY up. I wait for traffic to clear and make my turn. I notice in my mirror that there are no more brake lights! I look closer and he actually moved forward while I was making the turn. The nose of his car was under the trailer, about 6 inches away from my tires. I never knew a truck could stop so quick. This guy literally drove right under my trailer.

Turn signals aren't a suggestion, they're a signal of our intent and required for everyone to make a lane change or turn. I'm not sure what the trucker was saying, but it looks like you probably changed lanes and forced this driver to react in an unsafe way because you didn't have your turn signal on. Could a truck scrape a small car and never know about it? Sure, but we're supposed to be the ones checking our mirrors and driving professionally. If a trailer side-swiped you and you didn't actually force the trailer's height to change, there's a good chance the driver didn't feel it.
