Aurora Expands Humanless Operations In 2026 With Next Gen Platform

Someone has to put fuel in the truck, so who is doing that during the trip from Ft. Worth to El Paso and back? Any time I have seen one of these trucks there is a human sitting in it. So, is that person not logging that time sitting ready to take over if needed?

Just one accident where they kill someone with these autonomous trucks and I am sure they will be done or pretty close to it.

 

Does the Safety Rider have to have a CDL if something happens and they have to take over?

How does an autonomous truck monitor the condition/operation of a reefer unit?

If stopped -- how does an autonomous truck put out triangles?

If the trailer/truck catches fire -- how does it spray itself with the (I would assume) still-provided fire extinguisher?
