Gday fella's
Just putting a post up today about the possibility of coming to the states and driving rigs over there.
Been driving trucks for the last 5 years and in that time I've driven as small as a Single Axle Light rigid all the way up to a Quad Tipping road train (note 4 trailers).
One thing I would love to come over on a working holiday so to speak, so I can see America and what it has to offer.
Who would be the best people to talk to about coming over ?
Aussie Operator wanting info

I rhink it would be Very difficult to get a work visa to drive truck in the usa . It would be quicker and easier to get a Canadian work visa and then travel from Canada to USA to Canada type of runs . Good luck

Some of the Canadian trucking companies post jobs in "over the road magazine" @ the " truck news magazine" . The western provinces Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, would be your best bet. Ehh

Roger that there hacker, I will have a read into it. Being Australian and Being that Canada is still part of the commonwealth it might be easier to transfer across.... just have friends in the states I would love to see

There's lots of freight traffic between the two country's... all of the loads I do from Toronto go in to the USA and I pick IP a load going back to Canada. I just can't get a load that goes from USa destination to a USA destination. If you can find a USA carrier that would sponser you work visa that would be the first step.
