The other thing i forgot to mention is you get ignored alot if you talk on the CB going by the other posts V8 started most Americans like Aussies so i think its more about they simply don't have a clue what we're saying the accents a bit difficult to grasp i know i have trouble understanding the Scottish accent if they talk really fast. One of the Kiwi drivers at Millers got ignored that much on the CB that he'd learnt how to imitate the American accent after that he apparently never got ignored again.

Pennsylvania has Irish red head people moving around Pittsburgh. One said they are not allowed to smile at the airport in Ireland, they have to frown all the time.

I am the opposite. I am a British American wanting to work in Australia. No idea how I'd be able to do it because the job isn't listed on the skilled occupation list.
Another Canadian driver and kiwi23 Thank this. -
If your under 32 years of age you can come over on the working holiday visa if you still have your British passport there are certain conditions that do apply however you can work while your here for up to 18 months i think the only other option is the 457k visa where companies can bring in foreign workers, with the mining down turn in this country you will find it hard to get companies looking for overseas workers. Best thing to do is if you do come over to work, is follow the harvest trail which is seasonal work harvesting grain and picking fruit.Another Canadian driver and Rocknroller4 Thank this.

Yeah I've seen that holiday visa. That is a no go. I am 32. I think it said you have to be between 18-30.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

Yes mate looks like you've missed the boat there in the age category so your only option would be the 457 K visa not sure how that works. Or if you have enough to invest you could start your own business, most countries have an investment visa set up. I know the USA has an E2 and an EB-5 visa.Another Canadian driver and Rocknroller4 Thank this.
