No they arent commercially sold.
Some were brought in as grey imports but that has been stopped..
not sure where they get the MANY euro trucks, the vast majority are us trucks..
ALL KW in australia are built locally, and are not comparable with KW on the north american market.

I remember years ago seeing a "Kenmex".
Anybody remember those or if they are still made? -
I saw a couple down in Laredo the other day.MUSTANGGT Thanks this. -
I looked at that link and couldn't tell if they still used the Kenmex badge or if they put Kenworth on them now.
I saw one in Savannah GA in the late 90s and it had four 150 gallon fuel tanks.
I figured they must fill up at home where it was cheaper and buy as little as possible in the U.S.
Or maybe it's cheaper here, don't know really, and they fill up before crossing back in.
Either way, you could travel a long ways on that setup. -
giday all, Adam is my name and iam from australia, you may recognise my avatar as the aussie kw in this thread, well it is my truck. after seeing it on the net i found this site and joined, its true that a lot of the kw,s built in aus are unique to Australia, all are right hand drive, but our early trucks were imported up intill around 1968, my w925-s2 s is a 1978 model and shares a lot in common with your w900a but has a shorter bonnet, we do have many euro trucks and jap trucks over here, the euro, volvo,s, scaina, man, mecedes benz, are slowly pushing the U.S trucks out because of there price, jap trucks are the main stream in meduim duty trucks, price has a lot to do with it. but kenworth and mack are alive and well.
the price of a new kenworth prime mover/tractor is around $350,000 here more than $80,000 dearer than the euro,s so you understand why things would be tough going for them, yet kw still produce around 12 trucks a day here! anyway thanks for having me
Cheers AdamThe Challenger and DL550CAT Thank this. -
