People have many different reasons for not wanting to get the vaccine. In my opinion, the way this entire pandemic was handled from the beginning and the mistrust created by non-elected and power hungry officials has more to do with vaccine hesitancy than any other single factor. Do I believe people like Bill Gates and Anthony Fauci created a vaccine to kill, track, or render everybody infertile? No. Do I believe people like Bill Gates and Anthony Fauci have a direct financial interest in selling billions of doses of vaccine around the world, and have people like Gates said publicly that the world population needs to be culled in order to save the planet? Yes, I read the interview. Fauci messed up the AIDS epidemic, and many said that he should have been removed then, and yet he's still in charge.
In 1976 a soldier in the US military came down with a unusual strain of flu and died. The CDC was convinced it was the same strain that caused the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic that killed over a half million Americans. They convinced politicians to go along with it, and got the funding to get tens of millions of American vaccinated within a few weeks. This was a point when Americans still trusted vaccines and the CDC. As it turned out, it wasn't a very deadly strain of the flu, and almost nobody caught it. But around 50 million Americans got an unnecessary vaccine, and several hundred died from side effects including my grandfather. This is still fresh in the minds of many of us. And for what it's worth, my mother was one of the first American children to get a test polio vaccine in the mid-30's. She got a mild case of polio anyway, and to this day one of her legs has less muscle tone and is small in diameter than the other. So there were many hiccups with the polio vaccine as well. By the time I was in elementary school in the 60's, all kids were getting the shot. I still have the scar on my arm to prove it. In 1955 a California company made the first mass produced vaccine against polio. It was called the Cutter Incident, and they vaccinated 200,000 children with live polio vaccine, and 40,000 kids came down with polio. Ten children died.Last edited: Aug 24, 2021
